Terms of Service

Last updated: June 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of Synaptic. By creating an account, you agree to them.

📌 The short version

Use Synaptic responsibly. Don't abuse it. Pay if you're on a paid plan. We provide the service "as is" — we'll do our best but can't guarantee everything works perfectly all the time.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Synaptic ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Synaptic ("we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Synaptic. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account Responsibilities

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Synaptic to:

⚠️ Violations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice, and to report illegal activity to authorities.

5. Subscription & Billing

5.1 Early access (current)

During early access, Synaptic is provided free of charge. We may impose reasonable rate limits to ensure fair use.

5.2 Paid plans (future)

When paid plans launch:

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Synaptic (messages, files, documents, etc.) — collectively "Your Content".

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (storing it, sending it to AI models you choose, executing tools you invoke). This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.

We do not own Your Content. We do not train AI models on Your Content. We do not sell Your Content.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) to generate responses. You acknowledge:

8. Third-Party Integrations

Synaptic integrates with third-party services (Google, Slack, Notion, MCP servers, etc.) at your request. We are not responsible for:

9. Intellectual Property

Synaptic and all of its features, code, UI, design, and trademarks are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of Synaptic is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.

12. Disclaimers

SYNAPTIC IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNAPTIC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Synaptic harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

15. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the UAE, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection law.
